Event 1: Abseil

The Towers Rush Lead-In Abseil Event is an exciting opportunity to experience a guided abseil adventure at the Weir ahead of the main Towers Rush event. This unique experience allows participants to take on a controlled and professionally supervised descent, offering a memorable outdoor challenge in a safe and supportive environment.
Taking place on Sunday, 12 July 2026, this event is designed to give more people the chance to participate in the popular abseiling activity, which is often limited during the main event due to high demand and scheduling constraints. The Lead-In Event ensures participants can enjoy the experience without missing out.
Registrations
Registrations open 22 June 2026 and close 8am 9 July 2026 (or earlier if capacity is reached).
Bookings are essential, and places are strictly limited.
What to Expect
Participants will receive a full safety briefing and be guided by experienced instructors. All equipment is provided, and the activity is suitable for beginners and first-time participants under supervision.

Event 2: Ride to School
The Ride to School program is a fun and active lead-in event to Towers Rush, encouraging students and families to swap the car for a bike and enjoy a safe, supported ride to school.
Held across four mornings in August 2026, the initiative promotes healthy lifestyles, road safety and community connection while giving participants the opportunity to start their school day in an enjoyable and engaging way. Riders will travel together under the guidance of support staff and the Queensland Police, providing a safe and welcoming environment for cyclists of all ages and abilities.

Registrations
Registrations open Wednesday, 29 July 2026 and close at 12 noon the day before each scheduled ride.
Bookings are important to assist with planning and catering.
What to Expect
Participants will ride together along designated routes to their participating school with support from event organisers and Queensland Police. Whether you're a regular rider or dusting off the bike for the first time, Ride to School is a great way to get active, build confidence and kick off Towers Rush with the community.
Route maps, meeting locations and departure times will be released closer to the event date.
A complimentary light breakfast of muffins and fruit will be provided upon arrival at each participating school before students head into the classroom.
Important Information
- Participants must bring their own roadworthy bicycle and wear a correctly fitted helmet as well as closed in shoes.
- Riders must follow all instructions provided by event organisers and Queensland Police to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Parents or guardians are asked to stay with their child until the pre-ride briefing has been completed and the ride is underway. Parents and guardians are welcome to join the ride but are not required to participate.
- Registration is required and closes at 12 noon the day before each ride.
Event 3: Colour Run
